These fraudulent websites may try to swindle clients out of money and personal information, such as identification documents. These fraudulent websites may attempt to mimic the "look and feel" of an IBKR website by using similar branding, logos, design or content. To be clear, IBKR’s official website is www.interactivebrokers.com. While IBKR does have additional website domains, it does not have any connection or affiliation with third-party websites and/or companies. Members of the public should be alerted to the possibility of scams and should always exercise care in giving out personal data and information.
Regulatory and law enforcement agencies maintain online lists of potentially fraudulent website. For more information on websites that have been reported to, or investigated by, regulators or law enforcement agencies as potentially fraudulent, please refer to these agencies' websites.

Interactive Brokers Securities Japan (IBSJ) is a reporting financial institution subject to "Act on Special Provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Corporation Tax Act, and the Local Tax Act Incidental to Enforcement of Tax treaties." The IBSJ account requires an initial deposit of 1,000,000 yen. An equivalent value of shares can be transferred instead of an initial deposit.
